Architectural and Artistic Design – Basilica Style: The church is built in the renowned basilica style, featuring a central nave and two side aisles separated by gleaming white marble columns—with the exception of a single column made of black basalt. Noah’s Ark: The church’s wooden ceiling is distinguished by a design resembling the inverted hull of Noah’s Ark. Historic Icons: The church houses between 90 and 110 historic icons distributed across its walls and on the wooden iconostasis (screen), which is crafted from ebony and inlaid with ivory. The oldest of these icons dates back to the 8th century AD, while the majority originate from the 18th century. Marble Pulpit (Ambo): It rests on 13 marble columns, symbolizing Christ and the twelve disciples.
